Brackets Busted

Yesterday's Kansas/No. Iowa game was a difficult game for me to watch. In my bracket, I had Kansas going to the Final Four (as did pretty much everyone else that filled out a bracket) but I attended Northern Iowa (Go Panthers!).

Kansas is the team in the Big 12 that I root for because, well to be honest, Nebraska flat out sucks. And sure I attended UNI for one year, then was kicked out, but I had fun and have many wonderful memories of Cedar Falls.

So watching this game I was unsure as who to pull for. Do I back the integrity of my bracket or pull for the underdog? I chose to just enjoy one hell of a game and remain neutral in the end. I figured that, no matter who won, I would be happy with the outcome. I mean if Kansas lost I wouldn't be the only person who's Final Four would be busted (I still have Syracuse winning it all anyway) and if Kansas won, then my bracket remained safe.

So congrats UNI! Welcome to the Sweet 16 and may you make it to the Elite 8! Kansas...there's always next year.

Air Fresheners

I'm thinking of designing a new scent of air freshener. Its called "dog piss". My house smells like it right now and it is awesome! The smell is very distinct AND it really gets you going in the morning.

If anyone is interested in investing in this cool and hip idea, please, contact me and we'll talk!

Siege 3

Siege #3 came out on Wednesday and boy was it a doozy!

SPOILERS ARE COMING!! If you haven't read this issue yet and don't want to know some key story points then move long. Nothing to see here.

We have President Obama watching Norman Osborn and his Avengers invade Asgard...which President Obama forbade. The President's Secretary of Defense is asking the President what they should do and they realize that are up a certain smelly river minus the tool to keep them moving.

Just when things looked bad, Steve Rogers shows up in full Captain America regalia along with Bucky Cap and a scad of other heroes that have been Avengers in the past or trained by Nick Fury (who was totally there too). All of this happens in like the first 5 pages!

Without getting into too much here, we learn that Norman is truly nuttier than a squirrel turd and that The Sentry (or at this point he's more The Void) is ridiculously powerful and is basically a rabid, fight-trained pit bull that has been taken off his leash and allowed to do whatever his little heart desires.

Asgard is destroyed...Norman neutralized...and we are all drooling in anticipation for the finale to this mini-series. It's cruel and unusual punishment that we have to wait 4 looooooooong weeks to get to the end of this one!!

That's all for this one. Green Lantern 52 and Blackest Night 8 in a few weeks!!

Captain America and the Deathly Hallows

It's been a few days since I put up a new post. I apologize to all of my followers. I'll try to post a bit more frequently. :)

I am really chomping at the bit to see a trailer for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Pt 1. I know I got a little taste on the Half-Blood Prince DVD, but I want a true polished trailer...NOW!!

Also, can we cast Captain America for God's Sake?!? The "short" list keeps growing and the self-imposed deadlines that Joe Johnston keeps setting for a casting decision keeps getting pushed back. The longer it takes to cast Cap, the more nervous I get. Please don't screw this up. This movie is the linchpin to the Avengers movie.

Gotta run, things to do.

Go to Hell DST

I hate Daylight Savings Time. I hate losing that precious hour of sleep. That's an hour that I could be dreaming about puppy dogs and rainbows or cotton candy trees and a lollipop sun! I don't need the sun to come up an hour earlier, I'm no farmer. Hasn't DST lived past it's usefulness at this point? I mean if former President Baby Huey (G. Dub-ya) can arbitrarily change when DST happens, can't we just eliminate it all together. Heck, Arizona and Indiana don't even participate in it! You know, come to think of it...I've lost an hour of valuable video game time due to this crap! Let's start a revolution and get Daylight Savings Time abolished!! Who's with me!?

Stunners all around!!

I don't really want this to be a place where I just bitch about stuff that pisses me off or be a place of negativity in general, but man sometimes I just get sooooo angry. I have ZERO tolerance for people who tailgate me when I'm driving or people who think that just because they have a more expensive car than me they have more of a right to be on the road than I do. Piss off the lot of you!

Anywho...my wife and I are expecting our first child in about 10 weeks, give or take. We are taking a birthing class at the hospital and boy let me tell you what a joke that is. Its not that I'm not excited about meeting my daughter (we are having a girl) but this class just seems like a way for the hospital to squeeze another $60 out of us. The good thing is that by the time the class is over, it will almost be time for my lil peanut to be here. :)

I've been so busy with birthing classes, getting the nursery ready, cleaning up the backyard (now that most of the snow is gone) and working that I haven't had much time to rock my 360 like I'd like to. I'm in the middle of about 3 games right now. Those games are Dragon Age: Origins, Fallout 3 and Dante's Inferno. All 3 games are awesome but the time needed to devote to them is just not there right now. It really breaks my heart.

Also, I haven't picked up the comics in my pull file for about 2 weeks, which really isn't too bad. I recently cleaned it out of about 4 months worth of books. I may just wait another 3 weeks and clean it out when Blackest Night 8 comes out on 3/31. I can NOT wait for that book!

As you may have already figured out I'm a geek! LOL! Siege 3 next week!

Ok, that's enough for today I think. Maybe in the coming weeks I'll talk about myself a bit more. Tell my story and let you get to know me a bit. Not too much though, I enjoy my privacy.

Until next time...Love. Peace and Chicken Grease!

Day 1 in a new world.

This is iNkGeEk and this is my first blog entry. Not sure what I'm gonna do here or what I expect to get out of this, but hopefully it will be slightly entertaining and a bit creative. So hang on to your hats everyone, things could get very weird.
